Akhil Gupta



Akhil is an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University and was the Chairman of Blackstone India from 2005 till 2014. Prior to that, he worked with Reliance Industries & Hindustan Lever. Akhil serves on the board of Larsen & Toubro Limited. He is one of the founding members of Asia Society (India Chapter) and a Partner in The Acumen Fund.Akhil also serves on the Advisory Council of the GSB, Stanford University.

Akhil has an MBA from GSB, Stanford University and a B.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi which conferred on him “The Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004”.



Rajiv Thareja



Rajiv has over 25 years of diverse experience ranging from finance, software development, virtualization, product management, building and managing an ERP consulting services business, technical sales, and alliances. His prior work experience includes CFO at a mobile information services company; technical global sales to SAP and Oracle customers for NetApp storage systems; software development at SAP for Project Systems and Joint Venture Accounting; starting, building and managing the ERP consulting services practice consisting of SAP, Peoplesoft, and Oracle for Cognizant a spinoff of Dun & Bradstreet; handling product management for a B2B marketplace startup; enterprise software development at SAP Labs and working on aerospace research and software development with Lockheed at the NASA Langley Research Center.

Rajiv is an MBA from the Wharton School with a concentration in finance, MS and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.



Manu Gupta



Manu Gupta has over 24 years of leadership experience at the intersection of Corporate Development, Private Equity and Investment Banking across diverse industries ranging from information technology services, business services, telecom, hospitality, manufacturing, medical consumables and logistics.

Since 2000 Manu has been focused on corporate development in the outsourcing industry as a senior executive of HCL Technologies and Persistent Systems where he drove disruptive growth strategies in both these organizations through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, alliances and partnerships.

Manu was an early pioneer of the private equity industry in India. He advised one of the first ever private equity transaction in India in 1993. While working at Jacob Ballas India he helped raise and manage two private equity funds – New York Life International India Fund and Ashoka Fund in the 1990s. His signature investment for the New York Life International India Fund was in Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom company. He has also lead managed more than a dozen IPOs across various industrial sectors in India.

Manu received his MBA Finance and BS Honors in Physics from University of Delhi. ​
